The Automotive Detailing
class is designed to teach skills necessary for
employment in the field of auto detailing. Students will
receive instruction in all aspects of safety, the
handling of hazardous materials and the proper use of
hand and power tools. Interior and exterior finishes,
including upholstery, carpet, paint, seals, chrome and
the proper cleaning and polishing agents will be covered
and will include washing, waxing, and reconditioning as
necessary.
Students may train for a maximum of 180 hours.

The Automotive Detailing

entrepreneurship is included.
As
part of instruction, this course reinforces skills in reading, writing,
speaking, listening, and mathematics and requires their application in
workplace situations. Integrated throughout the course are career
preparation standards, which include communication, ethics,
interpersonal/team skills, critical thinking and problem solving,
safety, technology, and other employment skills. Students are
given opportunities to demonstrate personal qualities, including
responsibility, self-confidence, and self-management.
