CPR For
Health Care Providers
This American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
Course is designed to teach the CPR skills required to assist victims of all
ages. The course includes instruction in the use of a barrier device, a
bag-mask device, and oxygen. Students are instructed on how to use an
automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to provide victims with
relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO).
The course is intended for participants who provide health care to patients
in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital
settings.
This class meets the CPR requirements for
health occupations clinical classes.
