Course Title:  Visual Communications

This course introduces students to fundamental concepts of art and graphic design.  Students examine the elements and principles of design, color theory, and typography through a series of two- and three-dimensional design projects the emphasize research, analysis, the creative process, critical examination of work and application of historic and contemporary styles.  Students apply design concepts to create and manipulate digital images.

Students who complete Visual Communications (one year course) are eligible for one year of University of California-approved fine arts credit.
