Welding and Metal Fabrication

The Welding/Metal Fabrication Occupations course is designed to train students for entry-level welding positions in industry. The course content prepares students for positions within the welding industry utilizing the following welding processes: shielded metal arc, oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, flux cored arc, gas tungsten arc welding processes. Students will also learn how to use different tools and equipment designed for metal fabrication.

Integrated throughout the course are career preparation standards, which include basic academic skills, communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, safety, technology, and other employment skills.

Students may train for a maximum of 1300 hours.
