Esthetician, Manicurist

Esthetician/Manicuring Orientation
Esthetician, and Manicuring classes are now available for high school juniors and seniors.

JULY ORIENTATION

Esthetician/Manicuring orientation is Wednesday, July 6 at the

ROP Education Center, 385 N. Muller St., Anaheim, CA 92801

Time: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Esthetician, and Manicuring classes offered high school juniors and seniors.

The 600 hour, Esthetician course is for senior high school students only.

The 400 hour, Manicuring course is for junior and senior high school students

For the upcoming school year starting fall 2011, ROP Cosmetology will be offering  limited, availability-based placement, for the above Esthetician and Manicuring courses only.

The 1600 hour Cosmetology class has been suspended until further notice.

ROP Esthetician, and Manicuring are high school programs and are not available to adult students.

Students learn how to beautify and care for hair, by giving shampoos, rinses, and scalp treatments, and by styling, cutting, dyeing, tinting, permanent-waving, and bleaching hair.
You will learn the anatomy of the face and head, the chemistry and effects of the products you uses daily.  You'll learn to give facials, manicures, and hand and arm massages.  You will understand the importance of thorough hygiene and sanitation. You will also learn how to work effectively with customers, employ salon management skills, and practice interpersonal skills that are so essential to the cosmetology field.  Students successfully completing the 1600-hour program will be prepared to take the California state licensing examination for cosmetology.

Esthetician
Skin care facials, eyebrow arches, and make-up and cosmetic sales. (600 hours)

Manicuring
Oil and water manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, wraps and repairs. (400 hours)
