2009 Summer Youth Jobs Program

Upcoming recruitment events are for students between 14 and 24 years of age.  See details below!

You may qualify if you:
  • are between the ages of 14 and 24

  • live in Anaheim

  • meet income eligibility requirements

  • have legal right-to-work documents
    (See eligibility documentation details below.)

Please bring eligibility documents, and your parent or guardian if you are under the of 18.

2009 Summer Youth Jobs Program Eligibility Documentation

To participate in the the 2009 Summer Youth Jobs Program you will need to be determined eligible and provide proof of legal right to work in the U.S.  Here are some of the documents you may use to determine eligibility.  Please provide copies of documents and bring the original documents to the recruitment event.

To verify legal right to work; required documents are:

  • Birth Certificate, Social Security card and a school I.D. or driver's license, or

  • Resident Alien card or current passport

To verify family income, please provide a copy of the document that applies to you: (You will need to bring original documents to the recruitment event).

  • Proof that you are a foster child, or

  • Notice of action letter from the Department of Social Services verifying your family is on public assistance, or

  • Proof your family is receiving food stamps, or

  • Proof of Disability payments, or

  • Proof of Unemployment Insurance payments, or

  • Proof of Social Security payments, or

  • Proof of income your family has earned over the past 6 months
    (pay stubs, W-2), or

  • Any other public assistance record (housing assistance, supplemental security income, etc.)

To verify family size:

  • Social Security cards, medical card, or birth or baptismal certificate for each family member

  • Lease/Rental Agreement

  • IRS 1040 form

Other documents you will be asked for are:

  • Selective Service registration if you are over the age of 18

  • Work Permit if your are under the age of 18
