Class Title:

Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA)

Students learn design skills and residential construction techniques through development of floorplans, foundation plans, elevations, sections, details, and by building scale models.  Advanced students build a full size structure.  the course includes learning building codes, blueprint reading, and estimating.  BITA is a restricted 4-year program offered only to high school students enrolled at specific local high schools. BITA prepares students for entry into the trades or apprenticeship programs, or for community college or university courses.
