Job Titles:

• Electronic Publishing Specialist
• Graphic Designer, Computer/Desktop Publisher

 

This course provides instruction in electronic layout, design and illustration as used in the preparation of electronic and print-ready artwork.   Macintosh computer systems, scanners and commercial software are used in this course.  Integrated throughout the course are career preparation standards, which include basic academic skills, communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, safety, technology, and other employment skills.

The course is open-entry, open-exit.   Training takes place in a classroom/laboratory setting, using state-of-the-art equipment.  Students may train for a maximum of 850 hours.
