American Red Cross Training Classes

Lifeguard Training Classes

This course prepares the student for certification as an American Red Cross Lifeguard and includes certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Oxygen administration, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.

Prerequisites:

Students must be at least 16 years of age and have strong swimming skills.


Water Safety Instructor Class

This course includes Instructor Candidate Training (ICT), and certifies successful candidtes as American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors (WSI).  With WSI certification, instructors are qualified to teach the American Red Cross "Learn to Swim Program".

Prerequisites:

Students must be 16 years of age or older, demonstrate strong swimming skills, and have a Fundamentals of Instructor Training Certificate (FIT) issued within the last year.
