ROP Expected Results for Students

Upon successful course completion, all North Orange County ROP students will be able to demonstrate Regional Occupational Program Expected Results for Students, or "ROPERS".

 

Demonstrate Industry-standard, career-technical skills.

Demonstrate  technical skills necessary for careers, advanced training, and/or industry certification, and adapt to changing technology.

Apply effective job search strategies.

Solve workplace problems.

 

Demonstrate essential employability skills necessary for career success.

Demonstrate personal qualities needed to get, keep, and advance in a job.

Demonstrate high ethical standards, and understand work-related ethical obligations, including integrity, confidentiality, privacy, and disclosure.

Demonstrate academic skills necessary for success in a chosen career  field.  Identify steps in the problem-solving process, and understand the importance of critical and creative thinking skills.

Be an effective communicator, using good listening, speaking, and writing skills.

Work well independently and as part of a team, showing respect for others.
 

Demonstrate employment/career literacy.

Explain how to advance in a chosen field.

Apply effective job search strategies.

Establish educational and career goals, and explain the importance of lifelong learning to personal success.
