Tuesday 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm (lunch from 12: noon -1:00 pm)

CPR Adult Registration  
CPR registration is $55 for adult students, payable at the time of registration.  The fee is nonrefundable.  If a student registers but does not attend the class, re-registration will be required at a cost of and additional $10.
 

CPR High School Student Registration
To register for CPR, high school students must obtain pre-registration form from their counselor.   Students will only be registered for class after they submit completed and signed form
to the East Ball Road Campus.   Pre-registration form must be signed by parent and counselor.

• All adult and high school students are required to pay course fees and additional
   costs (uniforms, supplies, and optional books).  No fee waivers are issued.
• Pay with cash, money order, or VISA/MasterCard credit cards. No personal checks accepted.
• Refund Policy: Your entire payment, including the $100 administrative fee, will be refunded if your class is cancelled  or overenrolled by ROP.  If you decide to withdraw from the class, you must submit a written notification to the ROP Student Information Department, in person, or by certified mail, at least 48 business hours before the class  start date and time.  Refunds are mailed within 3 weeks. The $100 administrative fee portion will NOT be refunded.

Instruction

North Orange County ROP courses integrate academic studies and hands-on training. All instructors are industry-trained professionals and California-credentialed teachers. Most courses are sequenced, with advanced training in the field available at area colleges. North Orange County ROP is WASC-accredited, and its courses approved by the California State Department of Education.  Classes are conducted using one or more of the following methods:


Classroom-only
Learning takes place in a classroom setting with hands-on skills training using industry-standard equipment.


Community classroom (CC)
Students can earn credits for class and training time. Learning takes place in both the classroom and in the workplace throughout the course.  Students training on the job in business, industry, public agency or health provider sites are unpaid.


Cooperative Vocational Education (CVE)
Students can earn credits for class and work time.  Learning takes place in the classroom and on the job, and students are paid for their work on the job.  Students must attend their related classroom instruction at least 2.5 hours each week.


Credits and Certifications
Students earn high school elective credits for ROP classes.  Credits are issued by the high school. Each student who satisfactorily completes an ROP class will receive a Record of Competency. Students can prepare for state and national certifications in some classes.
 


Prerequisites
A current ServSafe certificate is required in most Culinary classes except Safety and Sanitation, Nutrition and Menu Planning, and Restaurant Management.

Medical Core and CPR certification are required for enrollment in Nurse Assistant and Medical Assistant.

Articulation
North Orange County Regional Occupational Program has articulation agreements with several local colleges for 47 courses. These agreements permit students who have completed our programs to enroll in advanced training at the college without having to repeat some of the basics, and receive college credits for some classes.  See the ROP catalog for details.
 


UC Credit
Some ROP courses meet UC credit requirements for entrance into the university system Students successfully completing the following courses can earn fine arts "f "elective credits:

Registration  -  for High School Students

Public high school students: pre-register on your campus.

There are no registration fees for public or private students taking regular courses.

Private and home-schooled high school students: call the Student Information Department for course availability at 714-502-5874, or 714-502-5859.

High school students have priority over all other students.  Grade priority is as follows:

  1. 12th grade students
  2. 11th grade students
  3. 10th grade students
  4. 9th grade students
  5. out-of-district students

You are not registered in your class until you attend the first day and submit a completed pre-registration form.



Fee-based Course Registration

All students, both adult and high school students, must register in person for fee-based programs.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis for these programs.

Additional Fees
Books, equipment and uniforms are extra and not included in the tuition.  The online class schedule lists additional costs for each course.

Refunds
Before class begins:
ROP must receive notification of withdrawal in person or by certified mail at least 48 business hours before class begins for the student to receive a refund. 

If class is cancelled:
Full refunds will be given if the class is overenrolled or cancelled.


Fee-based Class Payment and Refund Policy

1.  Students can make the full payment or pay a $100.00 non-refundable deposit to hold a seat.  This deposit is a $100.00 administrative fee that will be applied towards the total cost of the class. 

2. Important Information:  Fees must be paid in full 7 business days prior to the start of the class.  A partial payment will not be accepted.  If not paid in full 7 business days prior to the start of the class, you will lose your seat and your $100.00 deposit. No follow-up calls will be made.

 


 

Workforce Investment Act

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program offers employment and training services to in-school and out-of school youth who meet specific eligibility requirements.  The program addresses the attainment of basic skills, enhanced opportunities for academic and occupational training and exposure to the job market and employment.  For Information regarding in-school youth WIA participation, call 714-502-5833.   For Information regarding out-of-school youth WIA participation, call 714-502-5875.
 
WorkAbility I
WorkAbility I provides comprehensive employment preparation for special education students, ages 14-22, in four school districts served by ROP.  Eligible students may also receive assessment of career interests and aptitudes, career technical training and workplace skills preparation.
