ROP Classes are primarily for high school
students. Classes are open to public, private, and home-schooled
students.
Classes open to adults are listed in the
Online Catalog of Scheduled Classes and Fee-based Courses.
Certain classes that are not regular school day high school courses
are open to adults, including some Health Sciences and Medical
Technology classes, and all Culinary Arts Institute classes, and
Masonry classes, but high school
students always have enrollment priority.
Students can earn elective credits that will be
applied toward high school graduation when they take any ROP class.
Additionally, ROP has articulation agreements with
certain local community colleges. Students can earn advanced placement or college credits at several
area
colleges by successfully completing certain ROP classes with a grade of A
or B, and by completing the college's requirements.

ROP offers career and technical training
in area job market fields that are in demand and offer more than minimum wage to
students with ROP training.

ROP classes are offered during the school day and after school on most
high school campuses in our five districts. Some classes are offered
on weekends, mostly at ROP facilities. Some classes are offered in
local businesses, shops, entertainment venues, health clinics, and
hospitals. ROP has training partnerships with more that 600 area
businesses.
ROP has approximately eighteen open-entry classes. High
school students can
enroll in these classes at any point of time if there is space
available. There are six classes that may be started
mid-semester. Adult participation is permitted in a few
classes.
Students can take classes at a high
school other than the one that they normally attend, and the credits
will transfer to their school. Most high schools allow students
from other schools to attend ROP classes on their campuses after regular
school hours. High school students will find the

When you successfully complete an ROP class, you are issued a
record of
competency. This official document details all of the skills that you
learned in the class. ROP will teach you how to prepare a portfolio
that includes the official transcript of your career skills, as well as your
job-seeking and keeping skills.
Students are North Orange County ROP are
nominated each year by their teachers and counselors for outstanding
performance. ROP has traditionally honored students at a
Celebration of Success ceremony. Local individuals,
foundations,companies, and corporations donate monetary awards and
cash prizes that are presented to outstanding students.

school districts in Orange County, Ca: Anaheim Union High School District; Brea Olinda
Unified School District; Fullerton Joint Union High School District; Los Alamitos Unified School District; and
Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.
ROP serves communities in north Orange County and parts of Los Angeles County. Cities served include Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Habra, La Habra Heights, La Mirada, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Placentia, Rossmoor, Seal Beach, Whittier and Yorba Linda.
