Preschool Philosophy

ROP preschool programs focus on developmentally appropriate curriculum through: providing children with an opportunity to explore and develop at their own rate of readiness in an environment that encourages them to express their creativity, and building self- esteem through encouraging children do things for themselves and by providing activities necessary to foster competence as well as opportunities that nurture success.

Preschool Staff

The staff of ROP Preschools are professionals in the field of early childhood education.  A state certified instructor serves as instructor/director of the program who is assisted by a preschool teacher/director.

Schedule of Daily Activities

Activities during the day vary by site, and our curriculum has been carefully planned to enable each child to work toward competency in the areas of:

                • Cognitive Development

                • Social Development

                • Emotional Development

                • Creative Development

                • Physical Development

What to Bring

Dress for Comfort and Safety

Child Enrollment Policy

Enrollment Policy: Children must be 2 years, 9 months of age or older, and potty trained.

Withdrawal Policy: Your child's safety and well being is our priority.  Your child's adjustment to a dynamic preschool environment, that includes high school trainees with rotating schedules, is necessary for his/her safety, optimal learning, and development.  If your child is unable to benefit from the program, or safety becomes a concern, the child must be withdrawn.

Days of Operation

ROP preschools follow the high school's calendar.

ROP preschools are open 4 days a week, and offer two sessions, morning or afternoon.

Nutrition

ROP preschools provide a nutritious snack daily.  The snack menu is posted at the preschool.

Health and Safety

Children may occasionally seem ill without any clear cause.  We ask that you please do not bring your child to class if he/she is not feeling well.  In consideration of other families, a daily health check is conducted to ensure that a child with obvious signs of illness is not admitted to preschool.  We will contact you if your child becomes ill during the school session.
